Back Yard Games – Cancellation Notice
*Please note that due to low registration we have cancelled this event for 2017.
Looking for something new in a charity event that your company, family or friends can get involved with? The Greater Moncton Progress Club (GMPC) has a unique fun and exciting new event called the Backyard Games (BYG) in support of local children and youth charities.
This friendly and fully accessible event is open to participants of all fitness and skill levels. That’s right, our event has none of that pesky running, golfing, paddling or walking for miles; just lots of good old back yard fun throwing stuff around while enjoying a cool beverage on a hot summer day.
Register your team of four today and get ready to compete in ten awesome backyard games as you try and make it to the finals. Sure there will be cool prizes, but most importantly you will win eternal bragging rights as Greater Moncton’s Back Yard Champions.
In addition to raising much needed funds for local charities you can even use this event outing as a networking and team building activity and write it off on your corporate taxes. We also offer participants charitable receipts as needed.
The tentative games selected for this year are:
|•Washer Toss||•Horse Shoes||•Croquet|
|•Shuffle Board||•Lawn Bowling||•Corn Hole|
|•Ladder Ball||•Bucket Pong|
The BYG will be held on June 17, 2017 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. at the St. Anselme Park (aka Rotary Park) located at 505 Melanson Rd. in Dieppe. The BYG event site will be action-packed with the back yard games zone, a beer garden, side games for spectators, food vendors and music.
